Join us for a fun afternoon filled with friendship and creativity. We'll start our day at the Firefly Coffeehouse as we fill our bellies with delicious food. From there we will head to Lucie Art to create fused and sandblasted glass projects. Project choices include a plant buddy or an ornament/window hanging.
The first step in creating fused glass art is cutting and arranging your glass pieces. Glass can be cut into various shapes using specialized tools like glass cutters and breaking pliers. Once you have your pieces, they can be layered to create depth and dimension. Experimenting with different color combinations and transparencies can yield unique results.
Not an artist? Just "follow the leader", you will be amazed at your unique glass projects! No fused glass experience is necessary.
- You will learn to use glass tools and about glass safety, then get busy creating your colorful plant buddies or ornaments!
- Supplies, safety gear, instruction, everything is included (we are a NO SURPRISES studio!).
- This is a friendly, casual event- please wear comfortable clothes, closed shoes (like sneakers) for foot protection.
