The most iconic silhouette in our city's skyline, the Wisconsin State Capitol is the tallest building in Madison - and the dome is one of the largest in the world.  The 100+ year old Capitol building is the focal point of the city, right on the isthmus between lakes Mendota and Monona.  When was the last time you set foot in our state capitol? Can you find the fossil?

Ever wonder what is “behind the curtain” at the Overture?  The behind-the-curtain tour experience provides an inside look at the magic behind the scenes at this Madison landmark. We will learn about the history of the center, explore the theatres, and hear personal stories from volunteers who have served for over 30 years.  This is a great opportunity for those interested in the arts and the performing arts to gain a deeper understanding of the Overture Center's role in Madison's cultural landscape.

Join us for a day of tours of our state house and renowned theatre and lunch.
